  Festive celebration,

  As our reunion,

  Becomes the motivation,

  To reach our destination.

  56. A Tree

I will be like a tree,

  A mightly oak,

  Standing through the Winter weather,

  In anticipation of Spring,

  And new growth.

We will be like a forest,

  So close together,

Standing as one in our place,

  Strong against the wind,

  And sun and rain.

  57. Two Hearts

Two hearts that hold a common theme,

No clever plans or secret schemes,

A single mind that births a dream,

A shared desire where love reigns supreme,

Where each can be, when one is seen,

  As partners taken to extremes,

  To fit ourselves,

  Into the perfect team.

  58. Love is…

Love is a garden full of plants,

Love is a fanclub with just us as fans,

Love is full of our hopes and plans,

Love is the song and also the dance.

Love is a recipe for many delights,

Love is the flavour and the spice,

Love is a special chocolate surprise,

Love is the twinkle in your eyes.

Love is the wonder of Christmas shops,

Love is snuggling when temperatures drop,

Love is feeling you’re always on top,

Love is the heartbeat that never stops.

Love is sharing the cake with your tea,

Love is the honey and also the bee,

Love always changes like the tides and the sea,

Love is complete with just you and me.

  59. Wrapped 3

  I want to be wrapped,

  In your love,

  Saturated, soaked,

  But still not move,

  Standing in the flow,

  To receive,

  Everything from you,

  Until I feel,

  Completely brand new,

  Then I’ll stay,

  Wrapped in your arms.

  60. Treasure

  You are my treasure,

  The apple of my eye,

  My precious,

  The prize I idolize,

The one I hold most dear,

  You are the pearl,

  Beyond compare,

  A priceless jewel,

  That I adore,

My love is all for you.

  61. I Made You

  I made you,

  To be perfect,

  Special,

  With a job to do,

  Something novel,

  You are the only one,

  Who is the individual,

  With the potential,

  To take and use,

All I have placed in you,

  To be the greatest,

  The artist, the sculptor,

  The writer, composer,

  The teacher, the preacher,

  The healer, interceder,

  The builder, the feeder,

  Who inspres,

  Who desires,

  The very best,

  That heaven can give,

  Who will step out,

  To take your place,

  And LIVE!

  62. Abandoned Race

  The world turns on,

  But the sky stays,

  As the heavens yawn,

  Stars pin us in place,

  Faces lit by the moon,

  An abandoned race,

  Forever in a spin,

  Confusion still reigns,

Down every path we step on,

  Braving the acid rain,

  Outside the hair salon,

Still waiting for the gravy train,

  Queuing to clock on,

Unanswered questions buzzing in our brains,

Flutter like butterflies in the sun.

  63. Unseen in Doorways

  I close my eyes,

  My world tears apart,

  But only in my mind,

  Which lies safe from harm,

But dies a little once again,

The centre of the storm is calm,

It’s dark clouds hide my friends,

  I crouch unseen in doorways,

  Where sunlight cannot reach,

  And faces full of apathy,

Hurry past on well shod feet,

  And close their eyes,

  Our worlds are far apart,

  Both staying out of sight,

  With cold and bleeding hearts.

  64. Locks and Keys

  Bound tightly, waiting for release,

  Already sinking to my knees,

Shivering in the cool, cool breeze,

  That seems to tease,

  My mind, which sees,

  Many opportunities,

  Trying different kinds of keys,

  Even grease,

  As I seem to freeze,

  In this one place,

  Taking root until I’m freed,

But no one hears my silent pleas,

Or speaks the soothing words that ease,

That open locks and meet my need,

And cause this endless night to cease.

  65. Expect

  Be surprised,

  Live in expectation,

  Opportunities will arise,

  Blessings in creation,

  In just being,

  The hand of compassion,

  Oue eyes now seeing,

  The flash of inspiration,

  Giving freely, living,

  With an open heart,

  That can be the healing,

  Of a searching soul.

  66. Letting Go

  Cut the chains,

  That hold so tight,

  Break the constraints,

  And step into the light.

  Forget what’s past,

  The ghosts that crowd,

  All around your heart,

  And take the ground.

  Step on out,

  As hope gives release,

  Reject all those doubts,

  Start moving into peace.

  67. Keys1

  In my pocket,

  Jangling with each step,

  Ready to open,

  Or to close,

  Depending on my wish,

  No use in my pocket,

I need to take them in my hand,

To turn them in those locks,

  Switch on the lamps,

  Shut out the dark,

  And close the door,

  Step out and look,

  And find so much more.

  68. Outline

  I have an outline,

  An idea in my mind,

  Floating like a cloud,

A quiet whisper – not too loud,

That covers all the darkest times,

And gathers light and gently shines,

  But like a butterfly,

  It comes and goes,

No matter how hard I try,

  I cannot follow,

  As like a leaf,

  It flutters and blows,

  But I must believe,

  If I’m to know,

  The secret that it holds.

  69. I Want To Be

  I want to be spontaneous,

  Fearless,

Act on the spur of the moment,

  Without postponement,

  Instantaneously focused,

  Not frozen.

  I want to be ambitious,

  Oblivious,r />
  Of the negatives spoken,

  Always in motion.

  Never mind the commotion,

  Or the emotion.

I want to be the solution,

  Revolution,

That burns like a forest fire,

  Without pollution,

  Dilution or any substitution,

  Or illusion.

  70. Sky

The trees raise their arms to the sky,

The empty space where condors fly,

Where nature's elements no longer can surprise,

When man can wonder at their heights,

As eyes turn upwards, thoughts arise,

As earthbound man searches with his eyes,

For his place within this space,

To find a home for this roaming race,

  And separate like like rainbows,

  Sweet truths from bitter lies,

And journey on to better days.

  71. In You I See

In you I see all time stretch out,

  The certainties,

  No room for doubt.

In you I see the seeds of mystery,

  Of all history,

  Weaving through eternity.

In you I see the passion, the fashion,

  The way to be,

The dawn of a new day.

In you I see a touch of velvet glove,

  A snow white dove,

  The gentle kiss of love.

  72. Love Is (2)

  Love is fun,

  And love is laughter,

  A pretty butterfly,

  That we always chase after.

  Love is a dance,

  And knowing at first glance,

  Its taking a chance,

  And finding your balance.

  Love is exciting,

  And feeling senses igniting,

  As our lives are united,

  In a poem much recited.

  Love is a circus,

  With so much to see,

  A new found purpose,

  For just you and me.

  Love is a surprise,

Its that look in your eyes,

  Like a new sunrise,

  Something simply sublime.
